Six companies from the automotive and energy sector join forces to make the breakthrough electric car in Germany.
BMW, Bosch and Daimler and EnBW, RWE and Siemens to develop a simple platform for data exchange between vehicles and charging stations, as the company communicated on Thursday (19.1.). This includes a joint venture to be established in the first half of 2012. The aim is to settle the electricity costs regardless of the provider. Initially no information were given to the planned investments.

The Federal Government has issued the goal that by 2020 one million electric cars on Germany’s roads should be on the road. The companies want to make more comfortable electric driving through the planned standardization. Still, the cars due to high battery costs to purchase are considered expensive. So far are only a few purely electric powered models, especially foreign manufacturers on the market.
