Vue Greenline 2-Mode Hybrid Car

At the NAIAS 2008 in Detroit introduced the Saturn Vue Green Line 2-Mode Hybrid ago. The vehicle 2009 is available on the American market and is the first front-driven vehicle with the two-mode hybrid system. The range is more than 500 miles (800km). In urban areas demonstrated with this powertrain fuel savings of more than 50% compared to the conventional vehicle.
The V6 engine of the Vue Green Line 2-Mode Hybrid has a displacement of 3.6 liters and equipped with a gasoline direct injection. Thanks to the low exhaust emissions the vehicle as a PZEV (Partial Zero Emission Vehicle is classified).
The continuously variable electric two-mode transmission (EVT) in front-transverse structure uses two permanent magnet synchronous machines with a maximum power of 55kW per electric unit, which are coupled by three planetary gear sets and four hydraulic wet clutches. All functions are calculated by the hybrid control strategy for torque permanent basis.

The electrical performance of the Vue Green Line 2-mode hybrid is a nickel-metal hydride battery supplied, which works with a rated voltage of 300V. The energy content is 1.8 kWh. A special feature is always electrically driven backwards. If the charge is too low, the second electric motor is driven by the combustion engine, in order to charge the battery.
The driver is kept informed via a display on the respective operating mode of the hybrid vehicle. The fuel savings in the Vue Green Line 2-Mode Hybrid to be achieved through:
